The new publication of the National Association of the Hungarian Association of Agricultural Machine Manufacturers (MEGOSZ) discusses the possibilities, resources, and results of domestic agricultural machine development. In the past year, the association’s presidency and general assembly decided that it is particularly necessary to deal with the analysis of the promoting and hindering factors of the competitive technical development. The Covid period and the appeared economic situation made it clear: the price of the machine is no longer in the first place among the marketing factors of agricultural machinery. In addition, our entire agricultural economy is at a crossroads: there are more and more decisive arguments in favour of changing the production structure and the usual technologies. The Hungarian Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (MEGOSZ) has been strengthening professional cooperation for decades to achieve innovation goals and provides versatile assistance in the coordination of cooperation between government offices, universities, research centers, and organizations contributing to financing and production companies. If you visit a field machinery exhibition, you can form a kind of picture of the needs of the local machinery market with the “eyes” of the machinery sellers. In addition to the exhibitor’s effort to present technical innovations to the fullest, the areas of current greater interest can be explored. This year’s event was more characterized by the latter effort, at the expense of the “general” machine presentation. However, the visitors were able to obtain a lot of interesting, focused information: at the field machine demonstrations, they could see the work of tools for tillage without rotation and regenerative crop cultivation, and at the good accompanying events, current sector problems could be discussed.
