Exciting final of the CLAAS-UniTech engineering competition, 25 April 2024

Our member company, CLAAS Hungária Kft. has been regularly announcing the “CLAAS-UniTech” competition for university students for nearly two decades, most recently with the call “Harvest success in the field of combine design!” The enthusiastic team of professionals led by Tamás Csanádi, the research and development director of the company and the president of MEGOSZ, put together a demand and a set of requirements, the development of which was a challenging task for an “engineer”. The applicants did not only carry out “paperwork”, but also had to create the machine and operate it “in the field” according to strict conditions.

The main function was to “harvest” the “crop” wooden cube and tennis ball as fully as possible in each time. The picture on the right shows the more efficient picking work of the winner CLAAS QUATTROplus (Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences).
